The JM Teaching activities consist in a training course (“Advanced Specialistic Training Course on “Protection of Fundamental Rights in the European Judicial Area”) hold by Prof. Angela Di Stasi, including 3 coordinated modules:


1) AFSJ: general profiles and rights guaranteed (30 hours);
2) The prominence of fundamental rights in the AFSJ between EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and ECHR: multilevel and integrated protection (30 hours);
3) The justiciability of fundamental rights in the multilevel protection system (30 hours). 

This training course is enriched by 5 “Labs” (focused on specific issues) hold by 4 teaching staff members:

1) LAB “European area of civil justice: the judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters” (Prof. Buonomenna, 5 hours);
2) LAB “Instruments for the protection of fundamental rights of migrants and asylum seekers in the “integrated” system of protection (National, European and International jurisprudence)” (Dr. Palladino, 5 hours)
3) LAB “Common minimum standards in EU Criminal Justice Area: the Roadmap on Procedural Guarantees of Suspected or Accused Persons” (Dr. Iermano, 5 hours);
4) LAB “European Family Law” (Dr. Martone, 5 hours)
5)  LAB “The new “package” of Directives to further strengthen procedural safeguards in criminal proceedings (Dr. Iermano and Dr. Martone, 5 hours).

Moreover, the training course is enriched by several Seminars and Roundtable by experts on specific issues.
